There can't be many films around as culpably awful as this. At least I very much hope not.

A brother and sister, Joseph (Vincent Rottiers) and ChloƩ (Adele Haenel), are on the run from a string of foster homes and detention centres. Joseph is angry, suspicious and fiercely protective of the elder ChloƩ, who is disturbed and almost feral.

In this latter role, Haenel gives an embarrassingly bad performance - like something from a youth drama group. But no blame whatever attaches to her. She has been badly let down by the director, Christophe Ruggia, who somehow hasn't noticed how wince-inducingly misjudged her scenes are - and appears moreover to have licensed a creepy softcore prurience in the way her naked body is photographed.

One to ignore.
